Vector Borne

Three powerful empires—the Anasazi, the Champa, the Maya—abandoned flourishing societies at the height of their prowess, leaving behind stunning primitive meccas shrouded by the mystery of their sudden disappearance. Three empires on three different continents from three distinct historical eras…and three clues that tie them all together.

Violent geothermal upheaval.

Evidence of cannibalism.

And the mutated remains unearthed from their ruins.

A team of scientists unlocks the secret and searches for proof in the most unstable geological region on the planet…at the bottom of the sea in the Pacific Ring of Fire. When a massive earthquake rocks Oceania, generating a tsunami that decimates the surrounding islands and sinks the research vessel, a rescue team is dispatched…only to find that the majority of the crew had been slaughtered prior to the ship’s foundering.

The survivors find themselves stranded in the middle of nowhere on an island that’s being ripped apart from the inside out, desperately trying to reach the lone settlement on the far side.

But they aren’t alone.

Something is hunting them from the jungle, something borne of the fire at the Earth’s core…the same something that caused the demise of the Anasazi, the Champa, and the Maya.

And their only hope for escape rests in the hands of a man who would sooner let them all die than share the island’s secrets.

  3. I’ve just completed Vector Borne and Burial Ground in e-book format. They are amaziing stories and I just wanted to see the face behind the work. Your bookcovers are gorgeous. I have more than 2,000 books so finding e-books is wonderful. No more stacks building up around me. Now, I’m going to Amazon to see if any more of your stories are listed yet.

Hello there, my new FAVORITE author!!
Thank GOODNESS you are a prolific one, as I am a fast reader and I do not want to run out of things to read that YOU have written!!
I have read about 5-6 of your books now, and I am reading ‘Vector Borne’, and what I love about your books?? How they all… kind of intersect, you know? It’s almost a ‘you’ve gotta be part of the MB Club’ in order to catch it. If you are an avid addict, er, I mean reader (yeah, avid reader), then you catch it. (I guess it is like ‘Easter eggs’ in movies, kind of?!) I don’t know, I just love your writing.
I’ve read ‘ The Coyote’, ‘ Fearful Symmetry’, ‘Burial Ground’ (this is the very first of your books that I’ve read), ‘Remains’….I’ve just finished ‘Subterrestrial’, (holy SMOKE, YOU HAVE AN IMAGINATION!!!). Now I am reading ‘Vector Borne’, like I said.
I even joined Amazon’s Kindle Unlimited JUST so I could read the rest of your books!!
I love your work. I’m a disabled US Army vet, and I am on a fixed income. But I have 35,000+ ebooks on my kindle account. (99.99999% I got for free- BookGorilla, Freebooksy, and a half dozen others…) I am quite resourceful!! (I am an old Army Sgt., it is a talent!!)
I just wanted to tell you that I am thankful for your work. Thank you for doing what you do, and please do NOT ever STOP!!
You are the best therapy since Freud!!
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!!
