They come at night.

A stranger staggers out of the wilderness under the cover of a blizzard and stumbles into a diner full of people. He collapses in the entryway, unzips his jacket, and allows the object hidden inside to fall out. Screaming commences.

Four old college buddies embark upon their annual elk hunting trip into the Rocky Mountains. This promises to be their last, for the passage of time is as merciless and unpredictable as the Colorado weather. And they’re not alone.

There are other hunters in the mountains, stalking game of a different breed. They know exactly what they’re doing, because they’ve been hunting in these woods for a long, long time. And no one ever survives to betray their existence.

I really liked this novel. Kept me awake not merely in order to finish it.

I want a hardcover copy of snow blind, where can I get one?

    • Hi Beverly! I wish I knew how to help you. My best bet is eBay, but it doesn’t look like there’s a copy now. I’ll keep me ear to the ground for you. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful! Good luck!

Wow, can’t even find a digital copy of Snowblind for sale anywhere (Just audio – yuck). I found a hard copy of the sequel, but I don’t want to read it until I’ve read the first book. Is it totally out of print? Odd that a digital book could ever go out of “print.”

    • Hey, Bob! Thanks for dropping a line. Snowblind’s in limbo at the moment. Its original publisher, DarkFuse, recently reverted the rights back to me. Rather than self-publish, I’ve decided to try a different route. In currently in negotiations with the eBook arm of Trident Media Group in hopes of reaching a wider audience. They plan to launch the rebranded works with the three “Blind” books. I hope to have news to share on that front within the next couple of weeks. Sorry not to be of more help.

I just finished reading the subhuman series and really REALLY enjoyed them. I would love to read more of your books, but I don’t do Kindle. Maybe someday, but not ready to give up my hard copy’s yet. Will your Blind Series be going to print for paperback soon or ever ?

    • Hi Deb! Thanks for dropping a line. In thrilled you enjoyed the books! There are no plans in the works for the BLIND books at the moment, but who knows what the future holds? Most of my novels, like BURIAL GROUND, VECTOR BORNE, THE COYOTE, etc. are available in trade paperback from Amazon or in limited edition hardcover, if that’s your thing. I hope you find one you like! And again, thanks for swinging by!

I love this series!!! Part 1 & 2. The details of the perilous winter-scape are very descriptive and realistic, almost feeling claustrophobic despite them spending half the time the woods, albeit in blizzards. Your characters are always relatable and easy to root for, especially John in the sequel. That ending is still both heart-breaking and beautiful all at once. I would love to see this series made into a trilogy with a 3rd sequel if you’re not already working on it. I would also think it would be cool to see how a wilderness survivalist would stack up against our furry foes. Someone who has experienced multiple terrains and how to live on them. He doesn’t need guns because he understands animals and how they think, what fools them, and what doesn’t. He crafts his own weapons/traps and is knowledgeable of things like natural how odors can mask your scent. Maybe he’s part Native American related to the same tribe as Sani from ANCIENT ENEMY. I’m just rambling now, but I think that would be an interesting dynamic for a final entry. Man-beasts vs Man who can beat them at their own game.

    • Thanks, Aaron! I’m thrilled you’re enjoying the books. That’s a great idea. Very clever. I do intend to write another book in the series, once I have a gap in my schedule. Maybe next year…

Man, I can’t wait! Could you answer a question for me. Is there an actual “Alpha” or leader of the creatures? At the end of part 1, it seemed like the one facing down Coburn had a higher standing in the pack. Was he just the one enacting an ambush strategy they’ve used before or was this scene meant to show some form of hierarchy?

    • I believe the intention was to demonstrate some kind of a hierarchy, or at least I’ll take credit for trying to do so. 😉
