I’m proud to announce that the eBook version of SNOWBLIND II: THE KILLING GROUNDS is now available for download at Amazon. Those of you waiting for the limited-edition hardcover won’t have to wait much longer. I hope you all enjoy a return to the Colorado wilderness and a certain house where you don’t want to add your name to the guest register.
I’ve decided to try something different for my next novel. I’ve launched a Kindle Scout campaign for SUBTERRESTRIAL. For those of you who might be unfamiliar with the process, readers have the opportunity to determine what Kindle Press publishes. Authors upload their covers, the first 5,000 words of their book, and a little about themselves. Scouts (readers) then vote for the books they believe to be worthy of publication. If their chosen book is selected, then Scouts get a free copy of the eBook prior to publication so they can read it before anyone else. Authors, in turn, gain increased visibility and access to the Amazon marketing machine. I would appreciate it if you would swing by the Kindle Scout site and register as a Scout. Read the first chapter of SUBTERRESTRIAL and, if you enjoy it, cast your vote. Thank you, as always, for your enthusiasm and support. Each of you means the world to me. Oh, and rest assured, regardless of the outcome of the campaign, there will be a limited edition hardcover.
I want to take this opportunity to thank all of my friends and readers for voting SUNBLIND the best novel of 2014. Words can’t express my gratitude. I hope you all understand how very much each and every one of you means to me. It’s an honor to even be nominated, and to take home my second RCA? Man, it doesn’t get any better than this.
Congratulations to the other nominees: Tim Curran, Greg F. Gifune (congrats on taking home the RCA for Best Novella!), and Ed Kurtz. To stand beside such talent is humbling.

First off, thanks to all who participated. It was a pleasure meeting all of you and seeing the faces on the other side of the books. I truly mean it when I say that without you, they wouldn’t exist.
And now, without further ado…
Most Creative, as judged by J.G. Faherty, finalist for the Bram Stoker and International Thriller Awards:
Andi will receive a signed, limited-edition hardcover of CONDEMNED. Since Andi already has this book, she and I can figure out an alternate prize.
Most humorous, as judged by Jeff Strand, multiple Bram Stoker Award nominated author of books you really should read:
Jason won a copy of the book in the Joker’s hands, so he and I will have to work out a substitution.
Most serious, as judged by William C. Rasmussen, author of THE SILENT PASSENGER and coauthor of INFINITY TWICE REMOVED:
Bruce won a copy of a VECTOR BORNE, which he already has, so he and I will have to work out a substitution, as well.
Andi, Jason, and Bruce…please email me so we can work out shipping and prizes.
Thanks to MommaCat for helping to make this contest possible. Remember to check out her book review blog CAT AFTER DARK!

There are still a few copies of CONDEMNED in limited-edition hardcover at Thunderstorm Books! And the eBook is coming! T-minus three days and counting!
The signed, limited-edition hardcover of CONDEMNED is now available at Thunderstorm Books! They’re nearly gone already, so if you’re on the fence, don’t wait too long. The book not only features Thunderstorm’s stunning production values, but, like FEARFUL SYMMETRY and THE COYOTE, includes an insight into my process. While an original, handwritten manuscript page was tipped into those two, CONDEMNED features a red-line proof, which is the third phase of the writing process for me. This ought to show you how much changes from one version to the next. I hope you enjoy it the behind-the-curtain view.
As far as the story, several early readers have said it’s my best work yet. I would say it’s my most “human” story, and for that reason, one that will always be special to me. I hope I’m able to bring Detroit and its colorful history to life for you.
And there’s still time to enter the contest for your chance to win a free copy of this lavish deluxe edition!
