Burial Ground

Burial Ground Bestseller

When the body of Hunter Gearhardt washes up on the banks of a seasonal river outside of Pomacochas, Peru, with only samples of vegetation, a handful of
feathers, two black- and gray-streaked rocks, and a golden headdress of indeterminate origin in his possession, his grieving father launches an expedition to determine how his son died. The party uses these clues to divine Hunter’s route into the jungle, where they find a surviving offshoot of a primitive tribe, long thought to be extinct, and something far more sinister, something that’s been able to avoid discovery for eons for one simple reason: No one leaves the rainforest alive.

“A thrilling adventure! Fans of Michael Crichton will love it!” – Jeff Strand, Author of Pressure

“McBride writes with a rare confidence, and his story will thrill you to your reptilian core!” – Tim Lebbon, author of Echo City and Fallen

“Michael McBride literally stunned me with his enigmatic talent and kept me hanging on right up until the end.” – Midwest Book Review

“McBride just keeps getting better!” – Hellnotes

I got a new Kindle Fire for christmas. Was looking for something to read. Picked it up by chance in the .99 cent store. Wow. I can’t put it down. What a fantastic book. Just posted a 5 star review on Amazon.

    • Thanks, Michael! I’m thrilled you enjoyed it, and thanks for the killer review. I appreciate it. I had a lot of fun working on the book. I’m glad that came across. VECTOR BORNE is similar in a lot of respects. I hope you check it out, too. Thanks again!

I am an avid Crichton (RIP) and Preston fan. Having download a sample of Burial Ground for my Kindle I have just downloaded the rest of the novel. I am now a convert to McBride.

Hey, Michael- just read Burial Ground and was very impressed. It was the first time I’ve been exposed to your work but definitely will not be the last. If you ever make it out to Chicago, I’ll be the first in line for an autographed copy (not sure how you’ll sign my kindle, though lol).

    Cheers,

    • Thanks, Jake! I’m glad you dug it. I’ll be sure to give you a heads-up if I’m in the Chicago area. In the summer, of course. Heh. Thanks for taking the gamble on BG, and I hope you enjoy the rest of them!

  7. WOW….if Hollywood can produce a movie of this remaining 100% faithful to the novel, my life will be complete. Felt like I was there in the Andes as part of Leo’s group heading for the fortress. The ending was perfect. This is a prime example of how a book should be written.

  8. OMG what can I say about it , I loved it , and I’m definitely picking it up again to read, if you love Michael Crichton’s book Congo or any of his work then you’ll like this one by Michael McBride or at lest I think so. my cope even has a free bonus novella: Xibalba which is also five out of five stars. So go check it out. This story kept me coming back for more and had me on the edge of my bed the entire time I was reading it, going to have to get it in paperback so I can have 2 copies of it, its the first time I’ve read anything by you MR. McBride and I’m so glad it was this one, can’t wait to pick up other one of your books to see if I like it just as much as I love this one.
