  2. Michael,

I would like to interview you on ThorStonewell.com. The interview shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes.

Is this something you would be willing to do?

    August 2, 2012 at 3:19 pm

    • Hey Thor! Thanks for thinking of me. What all would it entail? (We are talking about something in print, right?)

    Hi Michael,
I have been a Dean Koontz, Steven King fan for years but the first book of yours I read (Burial Ground)had me hooked! I can’t seem to read anyone else. Absolutely love your writing. You really know how to get into ones head.
We have only lived in Colorado for four years but it’s nice to read about locals we have discovered ourselves. You automatically know and can picture where the story is unfolding. Thanks again for a great job!!

Thanks for your reply Michael. I just finished Blood Wish and Immune3, two really good short stories. I’m just now starting Innocents Lost and have purchased The Event and Remains. Keep em coming.
If you see a little candy red 64 Corvette convertible( with hardtop) cruising around Westminster please pull me over. We do some car shows over that way in the summer.

Good to hear you enjoyed AE. Hope you like the rest! πŸ™‚

Thanks Mike! I spend way more time on Shelfari but I like DF and the people on it.

I’m halfway through F9 and it’s awesome as well. Eventually I will make my way through all of your books, it just might take some time as there are a lot of them. Please note that I’m not complaining. Not at all. πŸ™‚

I have a question. Is Species ever going to go ebook?

    July 30, 2014 at 9:15 pm

  9. The early stuff isn’t of the same quality as the more recent, so I would it’s highly unlikely.

    😦 I still want it.

Hi Michael, I’m a long time fan, and I’m wondering when the third installment of the God’s End Trilogy will be available for Kindle. i just blew through the first two books in the last 5 days, and now I am absoltely commited to the next book. Imagine my scream of horror when I frantically searched page after page on amazon and couldn’t find it.

    Thanks!!

    • Sorry, Juliet! Looks like a couple more weeks. I’m glad you’re enjoying the books so far!

Hey Dude, Just re reading Godsend Trilogy and I found that you don’t like to use the word lay, instead you use lie, which is a little off putting ( specially when your ingrossed in the story) also when Pheonix finally meets Missy in person, her hair is blond all of a sudden. Was this deliberate? I am a huge fan of Godsend, what would you recomend of yours to read next. Regards…. Wayne.

    July 1, 2015 at 3:59 am

    • Hi Wayne. That’s an old, poorly edited version of an old set of books you have there. I’ve took my lumps long ago and moved on. I hope you like my newer stuff, like CONDEMNED, which is free on Amazon today. It ought to read better for you. Take care!

I was born, raised and had my three kids in Detroit. I now live in Arkansas but I was curious as to if you lived in Detroit at all. I just started your book and you’ve done a good job describing the areas so far.

    July 3, 2015 at 10:49 pm

    • I haven’t personally lived there, but my sister did for several years while she was in med school. I like to think I’ve done the area justice. It’s a beautiful city with an amazing past and well on its way to recapturing its former glory.

I hope you enjoy the rest on CONDEMNED, which is more of a metaphor than an indictment of the city.

Hi, Michael. I saw your books while perusing Amazon a year or two ago, but didn’t start reading them because, frankly, there were a lot and I didn’t know where to start. But when I saw the recent release of SUBTERRESTRIAL (which sounded good), I thought I’d give your stuff a chance. I’m about a quarter through BURIAL GROUND and… I’m loving it! However, I’d still like to know: Is there a preferred reading order to your books? Do they all take place in the same “universe”? Are there certain books with recurring characters that should be read as a set(s)? I’m trying to formulate what to read after BG, which is generally the type of genre I’m attracted to. What do you recommend? Thanks for your time!

    January 2, 2016 at 11:28 pm

    • Hi, Shannon! Thanks for dropping a line. There’s really no order to any of my work. I do hop around genres, though. FEARFUL SYMMETRY, SUBTERRESTRIAL, PREDATORY INSTINCT, and BURIAL GROUND are fairly similar. The SNOWBLIND books are, as well, but are more suspense than action/adventure. CONDEMNED, THE COYOTE, and INNOCENTS LOST are really dark mysteries. I hope that helps. Whatever you choose, I hope you enjoy it!

      January 3, 2016 at 3:32 pm

  18. Dear Mr McBride, I’ve really enjoyed your books luvmymama@gmail.com luvmymama@gmail.com luvluvthat I’ve read. I read Snowblind first and was hooked! Each one scares and thrills me. My mother raised us on scary movies and instilled a love of reading in us. With your books, I get to read the story and picture it in my head at the same time. Keep up the scary work. Thank you!

I have learned about your books on Amazon. And I checked King County Library System to see if they have any in their collection (they don’t). I would like to know if any of your books are in print and if so, where can I find them.

    January 18, 2016 at 5:19 am

    • Hey, David! King County in Washington? If so, I was just there over the weekend. πŸ˜‰ Most of my work is available in pricey limited-edition format, but there are some paperbacks available through Amazon, Half.com, eBay, etc. I wish I could offer a better answer. Take care!

      January 18, 2016 at 3:49 pm

      • David Hauntz

Yes, King County, WA. I use KCLS because I’d be dead flat broke if I bought the books I read. Amazon wants too much $.

        January 18, 2016 at 10:16 pm

  20. Hi Michael. Have been thoroughly enjoying Predatory Instinct. It is the first of you books I’ve read(still reading) but I can assure you that I will be purchasing more via Kindle very soon. Most excellent story and very well crafted. If the rest of your books are half as good then I’m amazed that you are not up there on the NYT best seller list. Seriously. This is good stuff. Best wishes and keep writing! Thanks.

Subterrestrial….phenomenal. Couldn’t put the book down and I loved how it kept me on my toes. Your writing and imagination reminds me of one of my favorite authors, James Rollins. Bravo, sir, bravo!

Hey Brother. I wanted to let you know, the day has arrived: you’re my coworker ‘ s favorite author. I was talking about Stephen King, asked if he reads him, and he says, “no, my favorite author is Michael Mcbride.” Congratulations. Want to sign a copy for him? I’ll shoot you some digital cash. Tell the family Merry Christmas

More Snowblind please. Those Sasquatch have a hold on my head i just cant shake. I feel there arent enough bigfoot horror stories.

    February 3, 2017 at 3:43 am

    • Right on! Glad you’re enjoying the books. Give me time to catch up some some commitments and I’ll get right on it. There will definitely be a SNOWBLIND III.
