As I’m sure you all know, I don’t write many shorter works, so sales are few and far between. In fact, I think the last was “Mt. Uncompahgre” (the original idea that spawned SNOWBLIND) for the Shocklines anthology from CD (I signed the sig sheets a while back, so it ought to be released sometime soon). Anyway, I actually have two new sales to report. The first is my favorite Halloween memory for the upcoming OCTOBER DREAMS 2 from Cemetery Dance. (Thanks to Robert Morrish for the invitation!) The second is a story called “Tears of the Dragon” for THE LIBRARY OF THE DEAD anthology from Written Backwards, featuring Gene O’Neill, Weston Ochse, Roberta Lannes, and a collaboration between Brian Keene and Mary SanGiovanni. I hope you enjoy both!
One of my personal favorites, the action/adventure VECTOR BORNE, has found its voice. It’s my pleasure to introduce Bobby Brill, who’s doing a phenomenal job so far!
Bobby Brill is an English language voice over artist who has provided voiceover and narration tracks for TV commercials, corporate branding videos, e-Learning products, documentaries, multimedia and audio soundtracks for national and international brands all over the world. His American voiceover style is warm and sincere with a clear, confident, and engaging tone. An ideal choice for clients requiring American voice talent to deliver smooth and commanding voiceovers for commercials, narrations and documentaries with no accent.
May I present Don Kline, who’ll be reading the first-person account of Special Agent Lucas Walker. Don’s a perfect fit for the role and I can’t wait to hear the final product. Rest assured, this one will be awesome!
I’ve been a teacher for 15 years with plenty of read aloud experience. I’m also a singer in my spare time with experience performing.
It’s my pleasure to introduce Gary Tiedemann, who’ll be graciously lending his voice talents to BURIAL GROUND. His audition was amazing and I have no doubt he’ll prove an amazing guide into the most dangerous unexplored jungles of Peru.
Gary Tiedemann is a Chicago/LA based actor. In Chicago, Gary studied improvisation and did funny things at The Second City, iO, Comedy Sportz, and The Annoyance theatres. As a founding ensemble member of The New Colony, Gary has either performed in, designed sound, or helped hang something for most of the company’s productions. Recent performances with The New Colony include: B-Side Studio, Psychonaut Librarians, FRAT, Pancake Breakfast, That Sordid Little Story, Hearts Full of Blood. I’m pleased to announce that several of my novels will soon be released as audiobooks via Audible and will be available at most of your favorite outlets, like Amazon and iTunes. Over the next couple of weeks I want to introduce you to the talent who’ll be reading/producing the works, starting with BLOODLETTING and Scott Thomas of AMC Studios.
Scott has been performing voice-overs for over 25 years, with a wide range of styles and deliveries, from video narrations to character acting. Clients and agencies from coast-to-coast have sought Scott out for his talent, professionalism and attention to detail.
Radio and television commercials, business narrations, audio books, amusement park characters, documentaries, video game voices, website narrations, video presentations…Scott has worked with scores of recognizable names such as Disney, The Jacksonville Jaguars, General Dynamics, Coca Cola, Safetouch Security, Gate Petroleum, Lexus, Burger King, Sally Corporation, Dalton Agency, DR Horton, and so many more.
I’m thrilled Scott has taken on the project and look forward to seeing what he can do. From what I’ve heard so far, this is going to be one KILLER audiobook!
For those of you who don’t know Leigh Haig, he’s slaved behind the scenes as a copyeditor for presses like Necessary Evil Press and Thunderstorm Books. I met Leigh nearly a decade ago when he was assigned to my NEP novelette ZERO, and we’ve been friends ever since. I can’t even count all of my books that have been made better by his keen eye and editorial suggestions. During this time it’s been my pleasure to see him develop as a writer, too. And thus it’s my pleasure to share the news of the publication of his first book, SHADES OF REALITY from Gallows Press. There’s even an afterword by Gene O’Neill and an intro by yours truly. I hope you’ll check it out, because this is a strong book with a really clever premise. Congrats, Leigh!
Because I’m never satisfied with anything, please allow me to present the new INNOCENTS LOST:
For the next forty hours, BLOODLETTING will be discounted to a mere 99 cents. Take advantage of this Kindle Countdown Deal, because it won’t last long. This is one of my favorite stories, so I hope more people will get a chance to read it. For those of you who already have…thank you! It’s a special book that marks a turning point in my career. And who knows…maybe if there’s enough interest out there we might see these characters again.
How freaking cool is this? Top 20 in Horror Suspense with two of my favorite novels ever!
THE STAND is my favorite novel of all time, just so you know.
My September 2014 release from DarkFuse, SUNBLIND, is now live at Amazon in both eBook and trade paperback. You can save up to 30% if you order before the official release date, making the books $4.99 and $15.29 respectively. While this isn’t a sequel to 2012’s SNOWBLIND, it explores similar themes and mines the survival horror genre a little deeper. *This is not a book for the faint of heart.*
When U.S. Border Patrol Agent Christian Rivera discovers the body of an undocumented alien in the middle of the vast Sonoran Desert with three enigmatic words carved into her flesh, presumably by her own hand, it triggers a frantic search for the remainder of her party, a group of twenty-five men and women who have inexplicably vanished into the desert.
Aided by two of the agency’s best trackers, Rivera follows the woman’s trail into the brutal heart of one of the hottest and most unforgiving landscapes on the planet, where nothing can survive for long. As more bodies turn up, Rivera and the others begin to realize they may be up against an enemy far deadlier than the desert, an unseen adversary that will stop at nothing to take from them what it needs to survive. A mythical evil that may not be myth at all, but horrifically real, could very well be stalking them, and their only hope of surviving the same fate that befell the missing party lies in deciphering the clues to their disappearance before it’s too late. If it isn’t already…
From Michael McBride, bestselling author of Burial Ground and Snowblind, comes Sunblind, a thrilling new novel of terror and action that will take you on an unforgettable journey from the desperate streets of Mexico, through the deadliest corridor in the world, to a place where mankind was never meant to tread.
