His opinion has always meant a lot to me, despite the fact that he hasn’t thoroughly enjoyed everything I’ve written. And this review really felt as though he “got” the book, which, to an author, is one of those moments you cherish, whether from a reviewer or a reader. That’s why we write, kids. That’s what makes this calling special.
